Our student Ahsen Malik of grade 11 took part in the 4th Annual EducationUSA Creative Writing Competition which took part in July 2019. Although he was not amongst the top three winners, he was invited to the awards ceremony where he gained an honorable mention and as such, was awarded a certificate by Jared Yancey, Public Affairs Officer at the US Consulate in Lahore. The judges were impressed with the “caliber” of his writing and the “originality” story.
Ahsen is also a member of the EducationUSA USEFP Competitive Colleges Club. Dr. Greg and I nominated him last year, and he was selected by EducationUSA to join other high achievers from around Lahore to gain experience, advice, information, and insight into applying to competitive colleges in the USA.
